We are over the moon to have received a donation of £10,000 from the amazing team at Techbuyer.
For those of you who don’t know who Techbuyer are, they are global specialists in the buying, refurbishing and selling of enterprise IT equipment. Founded in 2005, with head quarters in Harrogate, Techbuyer has grown from a company run by just two people to a global organisation with multiple warehouse facilities located worldwide.
The £10,000 donated by the company will help fund the hundreds of home cooked meals and the Asda essential food bags that are delivered every month to elderly and vulnerable people in our community.
As you can imagine during the pandemic, there has been so many people struggling whether that’s struggling to get hold of food due to shielding or mobility issues, or struggling financially due to being furloughed or losing their job. These food deliveries have been a real lifeline to those people which is why we’re so grateful to be able to continue these projects for months to come.
The money will also cover 10% of the salary of one of our key team members who help to make projects like these possible.
” Kate and her team of volunteers are providing a vital service – if not lifeline – to our older and more vulnerable citizens. The sheer volume of commitment, industry and time that they are investing in our community is inspiring! Thanks to the daily hard work of all of my Techbuyer colleagues we’re able to fund an extension of their crucial project, and we’re very happy to be involved! “ – Anne Towers, Director Techbuyer
